About Dr. Moen, Dean and Founder of the
Department of
Biblical Leadership.
Born
in Seattle, Washington, Dr. Moen has lived and worked
in Chicago, New Jersey, Los Angeles, England,
Switzerland, Grand Cayman, the Tonga Islands, Taipei,
Hong Kong and the Dominican Republic. His studies with
Francis Schaeffer at L’Abri after college graduation
changed the direction of his life. Dr. Moen has noted:
"I have pursued an understanding of God’s truth for
many years, often through crisis and personal
challenges. My goal is to make the depths of God’s
words come alive for anyone who searches."
He has taught college level undergraduate and graduate
courses in religion, ethics, philosophy, and human
sciences, and developed courses that explored the
relationships between religion and the sciences,
including foundations of social and behavioral
sciences and philosophical inquiries in physics. He
has taught business ethics in MBA curriculum, and
graduate courses in Greek philosophy and philosophy of
science. His teaching contributions included Drew
University Graduate School, Kean College, University
of Puget Sound, and Seattle Pacific College.
He
established a successful independent consulting firm
that provided human resources consulting to Fortune
500 companies, contributed to the development of
national surveys on employee motivation and
productivity with the American Productivity and
Quality Center, and taught professional seminars on
motivation and compensation design. Dr. Moen has
consulted with start-up companies and small businesses
on marketing and sales strategies, and provided
consulting expertise to third world development
programs, as well as developing and managing a
corporate sponsored fund raising program for charities
that produced millions in revenues in 2 years. He
retired in 1996, and now devotes his energies toward
the development of Biblical Leadership training
programs.
